About

I’m Kiyan Ahmadizadeh, and Queer Engineering is my blog. Since I’m a software engineer in San Francisco, most of my posts will be focused on issues surrounding the software industry or technical topics in programming.

Professionally I’m focused on enterprise software development, often utilizing the Hadoop stack, NoSQL databases, and other Big Data technologies. I enjoy working on systems that help users organize information and make decisions about complex real world systems (from natural habitats to agricultural facilities to utilities infrastructure to industrial bio-laboratories).

Personally I’m into running, reading (comic)books, meditating, podcasts, and music.
